Angoves Long Row Pinot Noir 2003

AUSTRALIAN GOURMET TRAVELLER

BIG RED ISSUE

You could have knocked me down with it?s stelvin screwcap when this came out of the bag, not only because it weighs in at $10, but also because it?s the second time this little beauty has caught me unawares. There?s nothing fancy here - just clear, clean straightforward Pinot fruit, which is normally as rare as hen?s teeth. There?s a fresh cherry scent and a nice fruity bite. The result is neither sweet nor cloying, nor masked by any overly ambitious winemaking tweaks. Would take a light chilling with ease. Extremely more-ish and exceptional value.
