Banfi Poggio alle Mura

Poggio alle Mura 2001 has received the Cinque Grappoli ("5 Grape Bunches") from the Association of Italian Sommeliers – one of Italy's most prestigious wine awards.

The wine is deep ruby tending toward garnet in color and has aromas of violets, sweet ripe red fruits and berries as well as cigar box, cedar and exotic spices like clove and cardamom. The finish is long and persistent.
